The versatile, talented and brilliant vocalist Sofia Rubina has become a household name for most Estonian jazz aficionados with her genre-bending ingenuity. Her range includes pure jazz, as well as influences of soul and gospel music, while she is also a devotee of club music and funk.

Rubina has performed at many acclaimed jazz festivals across the world and cooperated with famous Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian and American musicians. At this time, Rubina is actively involved in a project with maestro Raimonds Pauls.

In 2009, she received the Young Jazz Talent award from Jazz Estonia and Tallinn International Festival Jazzkaar, and several other acknowledgements have followed.

Rubina has published five albums. Her penultimate, In The Land Of OO BLA DEE, was awarded the title of jazz album of the year at the Estonian Music Awards of 2016.

The album Where It Begins, which was released in 2019, has been acclaimed by fans and critics alike. Among other things, Rubina will perform songs from this album at the concert.
