Andrei Kondakov is one of the brightest, auspicious and honored Russian jazz composers and piano players. He is a bandleader, an exceptional melodist, brilliant improviser and talented musical producer. With flawless performance technique and true gift of being open to all kinds of musical directions and experiments, Andrei Kondakov is a constant guest of jazz festivals and the best jazz clubs all over the world. An initiator of numerous Russian and international jazz projects, the art-director of the most famous Petersburg jazz club JFC Jazz Club, he is in many respects an “icon of Petersburg jazz”.

He is a Graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory as a composer. Andrei Kondakov has gained renown as an artist establishing his own style, producing catchy beautifully harmonized melodies with intriguing rhythm structures. Among his partners there are such jazz luminaries as: bassist Eddie Gomez, drummer Lenny White, sax players Igor Butman, David Sanchez, Rosario Giuliani, Eric Alexander, guitarist Paul Bollenback, Sylvain Luc, trumpeters Randy Brecker, Claudio Roditi, great Bobbi McFerrin, vocalists Kim Nalley, JD Walter, harmonica player Olivier Ker-Ourio, pianist Leszek Możdżer.

In this project together with his true partners: extraordinary double bass player Vladimir Volkov and drummer Gary Bagdasarian he presents his original music and some French pieces from well-known movies of 20th century. He beautifully mixes elements of neo classic, rock and jazz music with classic-based harmony, freedom of contemporary rhythm structures.
